Description
YOU ARE BIDDING ON A NICE  GENTLY USED JANOME MEMORY CRAFT 3000NEW THIS MACHINE SOLD FOR $999.00This machine is fantastic for quilters but regular sewing is a breeze and fun with this machine.Special feature:   Select a stitch and the LCD screen displays recommended presser foot and preset stitch length and width. Stitch length and stitch width are fully adjustable. ALL THE ATTACHMENTS ARE IN THE CASE,  ALSO HAS SLEEVE ARM, AND MANUALTHIS LITTLE MACHINE IS BEING REPLACED WITH A  JANOME EMBROIDERY MACHINE THAT IS THE ONLY REASON I AM SELLING IT.All features work,  case just show a few minor marks  but nothing serious. This is fantastic for quilting it only weighs 18lbs,  making it  a joy to move around and take with me to group quilting classes. My favorite quilting features:Probably my favorite feature on the Janome 3000 is the way it starts and stops the needle. With the touch of a button, the needle is down in the fabric ready for sewing. If I start sewing with the needle down, the machine always ends with the needle down. Likewise, if I start with the needle up, it ends up. This is great for chain piecing and for machine quilting when you need to lift the presser foot often. factory option. The MC3000 has the ability to drop the feed dogs and to drop the pressure on the presser foot from 3 to 0. I use a combination of both of these adjustment features when setting up to get the right look with my free-motion machine quilting. The MC3000 has 31 programmed stitches, including a locking stitch and a small star that can be used for machine "tying" of a quilt. Besides the straight stitch, I primarily use the zigzag/satin stitch, the blanket stitch, and the feather stitch for machine applique. However, I've used all of the decorative stitches to apply fabric designs to clothing. My favorite sewing featuresI love the built-in needle threader on the MC3000! Great for those of us with aging eyesight, the needle threader saves time and frustration by eliminating the manual threading I was doing with my old machine. There is no need to get the light and background just right to get the thread through the eye of the needle. The MC3000 comes with eight snap-on presser feet. And Janone offered, as an incentive to buy this model, a free quarter-inch foot and a ruffler. The snap-on presser feet save time and are easier to install than presser feet that require you to use a screwdriver. Since I change feet often, I appreciate this. In addition to the ten snap-on feet that came with the machine.  You can  purchase two universal feet: a darning foot and a walking foot. I like the option of using universal feet because of the affordable price. Unfortunately, universal feet don't offer the easy installation advantage that Janome feet do.Bobbin windingThe bobbin winding system on the MC3000 is one of the easiest to use I've ever seen. Just push the bobbin to the right and step on the pedal. The machine automatically disengages the wheel without having to loosen or tighten the wheel by hand. When I'm done winding, I just push the bobbin to the left and everything is ready for sewing. No extra steps needed. The left side of the machine opens so I can see the thread path clearly. I used this feature a lot when I first got the machine to be sure I threaded it correctly. I had trouble believing I was doing it correctly because it was so easy to do. And I immediately adjusted to having the thread cutter on the left, since it allows for a more natural movement than reaching under the arm and hunting for the cutter hidden in the back.Keeping me in stitchesThe MC3000 uses a one-line LCD screen to display the stitch I've selected, the width and length of my stitch, and which foot to use. This is helpful when I want to make an adjustment because all the information I need is in one place. The stitch length has 14 different sizes, from 0 to 5mm (approximately 3/8"). I use a small stitch for paper piecing and satin stitch applique. I use the medium stitch for piecing. I use a larger stitch for machine quilting in the ditch. And I use the 5 mm for basting quilted garments. The stitch width is used for both zigzag stitch and needle position of straight stitch. This gives me a choice of 15 different adjustments with which to work. I can sew almost anywhere in relation to the edge of the feet. No hands!A light touch on the pedal is all that is needed for easy starting, giving more control and causing less fatigue. No more helping it along with the wheel or stomping on the pedal to get going. With the use of the bobbin winder, the smooth sewing start and the needle down/up button, I haven't touched the wheel since I first owned the machine. It took me a week to break this habit and I haven't looked back since. That, along with the needle threader and snap-on feet was reason enough to get a new model machine. I realized that I produced more and became less tired sewing with the new machine. This in no way covers all the features of the machine, but it does cover most of what I use for quilting. The price range of this machine could be considerably under $1000, depending on the specials being offered by Janome or the dealer at the time of purchase. I've had mine for 2-1/2 years and still love it. Retiring my 1975 zigzag machine for a new computerized one made me a happier quilter by making my work easier. I have an easier time constructing quilt tops. I have more stitches with which to create nicer quilts. And I have more fun sewing now that everything is easier.   And now I am moving up to a little larger machine,  I will miss my 3000 for its small and light weigh size.Any Question  Please e-mail me*    15 Needle Positions*    Easy conversion to free arm*    Needle Up/Down - needle automatically stops up for easy fabric removal or Down for quick pivoting your choice*    Fail-safe needle insertion*    Auto-declutch bobbin winding*    See-through bobbin cover for checking thread supply*    One-hand side thread cutter*    Easy lay-in threading*    Horizontal spool pin for snag-free performance*    Extra-high presser foot lift accommodates thick seams and bulky fabrics*    SFS (Superior Feed System) 7-piece feed dog insures precise control of all fabrics*    Free Arm for sleeves, cuffs and hard-to-reach areas*    Quilting guide for parallel rows of stitches*    Drop-feed for free motion applications, darning, attaching buttons*    7 mm (1/4") stitch width for attractive designs*    Built-in storage compartment*    Halogen lamp provides bright swing area*    Steady, consistent electronic speed control*    Convenient carrying handle*    Hard Cover*    Touch Panel for stitch selection*    LCD message and display screen*    Computer MemoryùProgram and combine sequences of up to 50 *    stitch patterns*    Perfect one-step Sensor*    Powerful DC motor for extra power*    Built-in Needle Threader*    Jam-proof*    Top loading bobbin system for easy insertion, removal and cleaning*    Whisper-quiet*    Deluxe Feature Package:*    Needle Up/Down Needle Automatically Stops Up for easy fabric removal or Down for quick pivoting your choice*    Fail-safe needle insertion*    Auto-declutch bobbin winding*    See-through bobbin cover for checking thread supply*    One-hand side thread cutter*    Easy lay-in threading*    Horizontal spool pin for snag-free performance*    Extra-high presser foot lift accommodates thick seams and bulky fabrics*    SFS (Superior Feed System) 7-piece feed dog insures precise control of all fabrics*    Free Arm for sleeves, cuffs and hard-to-reach areas*    Quilting guide for parallel rows of stitches*    Drop-feed for free motion applications, darning, attaching buttons*    7 mm stitch width for attractive designs*    Built-in storage compartment*    Halogen lamp provides bright swing area*    Steady, consistent electronic speed control*    Convenient carrying handle*    Hard Cover*    Specialty feet included for cording, blind hem, narrow rolled hem, overedge, satin stitches and zippersIncluded Accessories    Top*    Hard Shell Carrying Case *    Blind Hem Foot *    Cording Foot *    Overedge Foot *    Satin Stitch Foot *    Automatic Buttonhole Foot *    Zig-Zag Foot *    Zipper Foot *    Hemmer Foot 2mm *    Bobbins (4) *    Screwdriver (L) *    Lint Brush *    Set of Needles *    Seam Ripper *    Spool Holder (L, S) *    Spool Stand *    Additional Spool Pin *    Spool Pin Felt *    Quilting BarHappy bidding  e-mail me if you have any questions
