Description      A set of four thimbles by famous makers Josiah Wedgwood & Sons in their sought-after green jasperware.  Featuring the cameo portraits of Josiah Wedgwood (issued to commemorate the 250th anniversary of his birth in 1730) and an image of William Shakespeare the other two bear the iconic Wedgwood cameo images of the Spinning Girl and the Floral Girl.  They are stamped Wedgwood England on the back of each thimble which dates them to pre-1990.  In fact they have been in my collection for about 24 years and are in perfect condition.
