Description
This is one of the most comprehensive, beautiful, full of variety auctions available. All authentic! This is from an estate sale from the home of a gentlemen who was a Furrier in Center City Philadelphia during the 1940's - 1970's. You get many, many, buttons made from Bakelite, Wood, Leather, Fur, Suede, Broccade, Rhinestones, Mother of Pearl, Plastic, Bone, Antler etc. Also included are Broochs, Pins, Clasps, Buckles from the coats that this gentlemen worked on. Many buttons are complete sets. This lot has not been picked over. I bought it as one large purchase and I am putting it up for auction as one large set. I am telling you that there are 100's and 100's and 100's of buttons. Way too many to count. Just for your information, some rhinestones are missing on the pins, clasps and broochs and some discoloration on some of the metal. Can probably be cleaned. Very nice vintage collection. As you will see, there are red, butterscotch, metal, odd shaped buttons. All sizes, all shapes and the beauty of these buttons are the fact that they can be used to make creative jewelry. Thanks for looking and please ask any questions that you may have. I am no expert on button collecting but I will be more than happy to assist. Some pictures above show the buttons in wooden cigar boxes as they were used to help sort and seperate. The boxes are not part of the auction. Winning bidder will receive buttons in one large box, seperated in zip lock bags. The entire package will be safely wrapped in bubblewrap to protect in shipping. The total package is heavy.
